2011 Ph.D. graduate Erin Cech, currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford, has accepted an appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. Rice is a well-endowed private university. The Sociology Department has strengths in culture and inequality, among other areas, an innovative doctoral program, and longstanding Postdoctoral Scholars program. Dr. Cech will begin her appointment in Fall 2012 and expects to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of gender, inequality, and theory.
